Just when I was having a lovely time and enjoying all of the culture and art and the like, what happens - Yep the bloody World Cup! Bars become bedecked in flags, New Yorkers bedeck themselves in 'soccer' shirts, and the whole place goes stars and stripes crazy for bloody football - New York, please, get a grip. (Oh yeah and by all accounts the England Goalie better too!)
